Morning Meeting Activity:

  • Students paired up, were given one piece of paper, tape, and scissors with the goal of creating the highest free standing tower.

Math: Prodigy

Literacy: Narrative Writing

  • Read aloud a picture book to dissect the parts of the plot together.
  • Students were given a graphic organizer/Chromebooks to begin brainstorming their “Greatest Excuse” story.

Outdoor Education:

  • Students went outside with iPads in pairs to take pictures of examples of biodiversity in our neighbourhood. What did you notice that you did not before? How would this look differently closer to the end of the term, as we approach summer?

  • We spent some time learning about the incubator in our classroom, the proper settings, and the reason for those settings! What are the survival needs of the ducks and chickens as they are developing?
